Organized Zionist incursion at Bab al-Rahma in Al-Aqsa Mosque

Palestinian sources reported that, as part of ongoing planned assaults on Al-Aqsa Mosque, about 300 settlers entered through Bab al-Maghariba this morning and, escorted by Israeli occupation forces, moved toward the Bab al-Rahma prayer area on the eastern side of the compound.

The Jerusalem Islamic Waqf stated that this action is part of the activities of so-called “Temple groups,” which have recently intensified efforts to draw as many settlers as possible into Al-Aqsa, coinciding with Jewish holidays.

Settlers also performed Talmudic rituals near Bab al-Rahma, which the Waqf described as a blatant violation of the sanctity of the site and an attempt to impose a new reality inside Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Worshippers staging a sit-in inside Al-Aqsa stressed that Bab al-Rahma is an inseparable part of the mosque’s total 144-dunum area, warning that any attempt to alter its religious identity or impose temporal and spatial division will be met with widespread popular resistance.

Meanwhile, occupation forces imposed severe restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshippers—particularly women and the elderly—blocking some of them at the gates in an effort to limit their presence inside the compound.

These violations come as Palestinian officials and civil institutions warn that the repeated incursions aim to gradually turn Bab al-Rahma into a colonial-religious foothold, paving the way for full control—similar to what occurred at the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.
