Today’s students, tomorrow’s programmers
Talented students from underprivileged areas on the outskirts of Mashhad and throughout Khorasan Razavi province are guests on these days in the amazing world of programming, experiencing the sweet thrill of problem-solving and creativity through game development and coding. This event was organized by the Technical and Vocational Organization of the country, with Yasan Academy (a leading academy in modern education) participating in the program. UNESCO also supported the event.
Educational equity: From slogan to reality
According to the organizers, the overarching goal of this program was to empower the young generation and nurture hidden talents across the country. The recent event in Mashhad, with the participation of 120 students from underprivileged areas, provided a unique opportunity for them to engage with the power of computer sciences and creatively solve problems through games. The importance of developing cognitive and problem-solving skills in children and adolescents in today’s era is undeniable. The digital world is evolving at an accelerating pace, highlighting the necessity for all children in our nation to become familiar with fundamental concepts in this field. Children and adolescents from less privileged areas are treasures of potential talent, and by providing suitable opportunities, they can play a key role in the growth and development of our country.
The final segment of the event offered a unique experience for students: creating games using problem-solving skills! In this session, students worked in groups to brainstorm, play, and tackle challenges. Hosting this kind of creative event, as well as similar initiatives, not only boosts their confidence and problem-solving abilities but also paves the way for their future careers in the highly sought-after field of game development.
Cross-border collaborations for a bright future
The organizers hope that by continuously implementing such programs, they will take an effective step toward youth employment and empowerment in the country. It is noteworthy that the closing ceremony of this educational campaign was held on September 3rd. By participating in these events, students discover their programming and modern game development talents and, with the necessary support, can fully develop these skills. Furthermore, such initiatives serve as a foundation for envisioning the professional prospects of the new generation.
