Following the explosion of several containers at Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas, the head of the Red Crescent’s Relief and Rescue Organization, along with rapid response teams, was dispatched to Hormozgan on the orders of the Red Crescent Society’s president.
Currently, seven Red Crescent operational teams are present at the site to provide assistance to those affected.
Fifteen ambulances and four ambulance buses from Bandar Abbas, Lar, and the province have been dispatched to the scene.
The Larstan air ambulance helicopter has been deployed to assist potential casualties.
Shiraz Emergency Services are on full alert, and necessary coordination has been made to receive potential casualties from this incident.
Special directive from Interior Minister to Hormozgan Governor following explosion at shahid Rajaee Port
Eskandar Momeni, the Interior Minister, received an initial report on the incident during a phone call with Hormozgan Governor Mohammad Ashouri following the explosion at one of the flammable sources at Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas.
Momeni issued urgent instructions to the governor for immediate action.
Additionally, on the minister’s orders, the head of the Crisis Management Organization has been dispatched to the area.

The explosion likely originated from a depot of hazardous goods and chemical materials stored in the port area.
The explosion occurred in the Sina container area of Shahid Rajaee Port, within a 2-kilometer radius of the customs administrative building.

Currently, operations at the facilities located in the Bandar Abbas region are continuing without interruption.
Additionally, the firefighting and emergency response equipment of all oil companies in the region are on standby and providing services to assist in managing the incident, under the coordination of the Ports and Maritime Organization.
