Zionist settlers raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque

On the first day of Passover, the Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed widespread raids this morning (Sunday) by large groups of Israeli settlers who entered its premises from the "Al-Magharbeh" Gate under heavy protection and support from the occupying police forces.

On the other hand, the Islamic Waqf Administration in Jerusalem announced that hundreds of settlers, in scattered groups, raided the Al-Aqsa Mosque, received brochures about their alleged temple, and conducted provocative patrols in the mosque’s courtyards. Some of them performed Talmudic and Torah rituals, especially in the eastern part of the mosque near the "Dome of the Rock," before exiting through the "Chain Gate."

At the same time, the occupying regime’s forces imposed strict security measures at the entrances to the old neighborhoods of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, setting up dozens of iron barriers in the streets and access routes, and subjecting Palestinian citizens to searches and inspections.

These actions are not limited to imposing restrictions and prohibitions; rather, the authorities of the occupying regime have closed all passages and routes leading to the old city of Jerusalem and the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Police forces and special units have been deployed extensively, turning Jerusalem into a closed military barracks.
