Trump's approval rating drops to lowest level

According to Reuters, the poll conducted in cooperation with the news agency and research firm Ipsos shows that due to Trump's tariff measures, the way he runs the government and the leak of classified information about the military attack on Yemen, his approval rating has dropped to 43 percent, the lowest level since his return to power.

The results of the three-day survey, which ended yesterday, Wednesday, indicate a 2-point decrease in Trump's approval rating compared to the March 21-23 poll and 4 points less than when he took office on January 20.

This is while the results of the polls in January 2017, shortly after Trump first took office, he had an approval rating of 49 percent.

Reuters noted that former US President Joe Biden's approval rating was 35 percent just before the presidential election in November last year.

According to a new Ipsos-Reuters poll, only 37 percent of respondents approved of Trump's economic management, and 30 percent considered his performance in dealing with the high cost of living to be correct.

Meanwhile, 52 percent of respondents said that the increase in tariffs on cars and auto parts led to increased pressure on families affected by this industry.
