Media sources reported today (Wednesday) that the 17th trial of the Israeli Prime Minister on charges of serial corruption was being held and that he went into a rage by shouting at the Israeli court judges.

Al Jazeera reported that the 17th trial of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was held as part of his testimony in corruption cases.

According to the Israeli Channel 13, Netanyahu pounded on the court table in court, declaring that he had the right to speak for a few minutes in his defense.

The network added that Netanyahu lost control during the trial and shouted at the judges, "They have made my life hell."

The Israeli Prime Minister is facing charges including bribery, fraud and abuse of public trust in three separate cases, known as Cases 1000, 2000 and 4000.

The charges include accepting expensive gifts in exchange for legal and diplomatic support from prominent business figures, as well as manipulating media coverage in his favor.

Netanyahu's corruption cases have caused years of political crisis in the ruling elite of the Israeli regime and made it difficult to form a stable majority in the Knesset, leading to five elections in less than four years.
