Russia expels two British diplomats

According to the Tass news agency, the second secretary of the British embassy in Moscow and the wife of another British diplomat have been expelled from Moscow for providing false personal information and evidence of intelligence and sabotage activities.

The Russian Foreign Ministry had previously announced on its Telegram channel that it had summoned the British ambassador to investigate the matter.

The ministry also announced in a statement that if there is a reaction and the situation escalates, London will receive a strong and appropriate response.

Russia stressed that it calls on all British citizens to provide accurate and comprehensive information to obtain a visa, as Moscow will deal with any violation of its national interests.
