The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported the dismissal of 15,000 Syrian employees by the government of "Ahmad al-Sharaa", nicknamed "Abu Muhammad al-Jolani", the head of the interim Syrian government, and concerns about the intensification of reprisals in the country.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced in a report that the Golani government's Ministry of Education has dismissed 3,000 teachers.

The center also reported the dismissal of 12,000 employees from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, and the Latakia Port.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported a widespread reaction to these dismissals and concerns about more severe reprisals in the country.

According to this report, the Syrian Iron and Steel Production Company also announced the dismissal of 500 of its employees on Sunday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced that the dismissal of these employees was carried out based on the official list of those subject to dismissal and no reason or criteria have been announced so far.

The western regions of Syria, including the provinces of Latakia and Tartus, are home to Syria's Alawite tribe and the birthplace of the Assad family.
