Iran, Qatar Discuss Upheavals in Syria

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, who has traveled to Qatar to attend the Doha Forum 2024, met with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani on Saturday.

The recent events in Syria, which has been engulfed by a surge of armed militancy, were discussed by the two officials.

They also discussed the situation in Lebanon after a recent ceasefire, the genocidal crimes committed in Gaza by the Israeli regime, and the relationship between Iran and Qatar.

Araqchi also spoke with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan in a separate meeting in Doha.
