Continuing their approach since the start of the Gaza war, German police attacked pro-Palestinian protesters and arrested a number of them.

German police detained several pro-Palestinian protesters in Berlin and forced them to stop chanting anti-Zionist slogans during the demonstration.

Hundreds of people gathered in the square near the Wittenbergplatz metro station in support of Palestine with the slogans "Stop the attacks on the West Bank" and "Do not arm Israel."

The demonstrators carried Palestinian flags and banners that read: Stop arming Israel; Gaza is not for sale, freedom for Palestine and Palestinian children deserve to grow up.

Some protesters gave speeches at the rally and chanted anti-Zionist and anti-American slogans.

The atmosphere of the demonstration became tense as German police officers arrived. Police ordered the protesters to stop chanting and leave the area.

The protesters refused to leave the area and continued their sit-in demonstration. However, according to the released footage, the officers attacked the protesters.

The released footage shows German police violently dispersing the protesters. Local media reported that the demonstrators were attacked by police after chanting anti-Zionist slogans in support of Palestine.
