Category: Latest news ، General
A massive strike by public transport workers in Berlin, the German capital, ‎to protest wages and working conditions that began this morning has ‎caused disruptions.‎

According to the Berliner Zeitung newspaper, subway stations remained closed today (Monday) in the shadow of a massive public transport strike in Berlin, and buses and trains were also stuck in stations and not moving.

In a dispute over wage increases and salaries, the Verdi union has asked more than 16,000 employees of the Berlin public transport company (BVG) to stop working until 2:59 a.m. on Tuesday.

Thus, buses, trams and subways in the German capital will stop from this Monday, as there is no agreement on the wage dispute between the Verdi union and the BVG.

The one-day warning strike by the Verdi union in Berlin's public transport company, which began this morning, is severely disrupting public transport. According to the Berlin public transport company, all subways and trams, as well as most buses, will be canceled. Only regional trains and S-Bahn trains will not be affected by the warning strike.

The strike was formed in response to the failure to reach an agreement with employers on wage increases and improved working conditions.
