Gaza death toll passes 47,000

According to Al Jazeera, after the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip entered its second day, the Palestinian Health Ministry in the Strip announced the transfer of 122 bodies to hospitals in the past 24 hours.

The ministry announced that 60 bodies were recovered from under the rubble in the past 24 hours and 62 others were martyred during the attacks.

The Gaza Health Ministry also announced that 341 people were injured in the past 24 hours.

The ministry further announced that since the beginning of the war (October 1, 2023), 47,35 Palestinians have been martyred in the Gaza Strip and 111,091 have been injured.

This comes as the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip entered its implementation phase on Sunday afternoon.
