A Grave Unfound, A Wound Unhealed

For two endless years, journalist Israa al-Ar’eer has searched for a single truth: what happened to her husband. He vanished after Israel’s assault on Gaza, leaving behind only questions and a family suspended in grief. When bodies began to return—mutilated, unrecognizable—Israa ran to Nasser Hospital, heart racing, eyes searching every face for her husband… or her brother. 

Again and again, she walks into the morgue with one desperate hope: to find their remains and lay them to rest with dignity. At home, her four-year-old daughter Abeer keeps asking a question that shatters her world every time:
