News sources reported the killing of Yasser Abu Shabab, the commander of Israeli-backed armed militants, by unidentified individuals.

The Israeli army radio announced that Yasser Abu Shabab, the commander of Israeli-supported armed militants in eastern Rafah, was killed by unknown assailants.

Eastern Rafah is under the occupation of the Israeli army, and no individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack and assassination of the Tel Aviv-backed militant leader.

Hebrew-language media reported that within Israel, the prevailing assessment is that Yasser Abu Shabab was killed by his own operatives.

Hebrew sources also noted that Abu Shabab, a well-known Israeli agent and mercenary, was killed while ambushing armed individuals in western Rafah.

According to reports, attempts were made to transfer him to Israeli hospitals for treatment, but doctors were unable to save him, and his death was confirmed.

A security official told Israeli Channel 12 that Abu Shabab died at Soroka Hospital due to injuries resulting from internal family disputes.

Hebrew-language media further reported that two of Abu Shabab’s deputies were also killed in the attack.
