Unveiling of the new shrine of Imamzadegan Aynali and Zeynali (AS)
Dr. Mehdi Mazinani, Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Shrine of Imamzadegan Aynali and Zeynali (AS), explained:
"According to the planning carried out—and by the grace of Almighty God and the blessings of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (SA)—we were honored, on the anniversary of her martyrdom, to unveil the new sanctuary and shrine of Imamzadegan Aynali and Zeynali (AS). This sacred place has always been a refuge for many believers and broken-hearted people, and during religious and mourning occasions, it witnesses a large presence of those who come to express their devotion to these two noble Imamzadegan."
The unveiling ceremony was attended by Major General Seyyed Yahya Safavi, Advisor to the Supreme Leader; Reza Masroor, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade and Special Economic Zones; Brigadier General Ahmadreza Radan, Commander-in-Chief of the Law Enforcement Command; Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Mehdi Khamoshi, Head of the Endowments and Charity Affairs Organization; and Mohsen Hashemi Rafsanjani.
Imamzadegan Aynali and Zeynali, whose noble lineage traces back to Imam Zayn al-Abidin (AS), rest in a place where, according to historical accounts, they were martyred approximately 1,150 years ago. Based on oral traditions and narratives passed down through generations, the account of their martyrdom is as follows: During the era of Imam al-Reza (AS), they traveled to Iran with a caravan that also included Lady Fatimah al-Ma‘suma (SA). Upon entering Iranian lands, agents of the Abbasid government—who were pursuing and persecuting the descendants of the Prophet—blocked the caravan’s path on the road to Mashhad. Following this confrontation, the caravan became scattered, and Imamzadegan Aynali and Zeynali were captured by the Abbasid forces in this very region and martyred.
