Quarter of Jewish population in occupied territories weighing relocation

The Israel Democracy Institute reported that about one-quarter of Jews in the occupied territories have stated that they are contemplating temporarily or permanently leaving the region to live elsewhere.

According to the findings, over 39% of secular Jews are considering the possibility of leaving, compared to 19% of religious Jews and only 3% of ultra-Orthodox (Haredim) Jews.

Age also plays a role: 36% of young Jews aged 18 to 34 said they are thinking about emigration, while the figure is 26% among middle-aged individuals and 16% among seniors over 55.

The study further indicated that individuals with higher incomes and jobs with international mobility opportunities are more inclined to consider emigration.

Among Jews born in the occupied territories, those with foreign citizenship are more likely to consider leaving: 38% of them are exploring emigration, while only 25% of those holding solely Israeli citizenship have similar intentions.
