False claims by opposition media regarding the death of Farzad Khosh Baresh in Sari prison
Farzad Khosh Baresh, a detainee in Sari Prison, had been transferred to a hospital for medical treatment upon a doctor’s order and with judicial approval, and was released on bail prior to his death. Therefore, reports claiming that he died inside the prison are inaccurate.
Recently, opposition media outlets have published new fabricated reports claiming that an individual named Farzad Khosh Baresh died in Sari Prison following his arrest.
However, on November 15, after showing symptoms of illness, the detainee was transferred to a hospital by medical order and with the approval of judicial authorities for treatment. On the same day, he was released on bail with judicial consent. According to the report, he underwent specialized medical care after being transferred to the hospital, but unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors and medical staff, he passed away in the hospital on November 17.
