Newly leaked emails reveal Trump’s ties to sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein

The name of U.S. President Donald Trump has surfaced in new correspondence from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to documents released Wednesday by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.

Democratic members of the committee published three new emails from Epstein’s estate, in which Trump is mentioned—raising fresh questions about the depth of their relationship.

According to NPR, one of the 2015 emails between Epstein and writer Michael Wolff discusses a possible interview question for Trump’s upcoming appearance on CNN regarding his personal relationship with Epstein.

Wolff wrote: “I think you should let him destroy himself. If he denies being on the plane or coming to my house, that gives you political and media credibility. You can damage him in a way that might help you—or, if it looks like he might actually win, you can save him and make him owe you.”

Democratic Representative Robert Garcia of California, a senior member of the Oversight Committee, said in a statement that the correspondence released Wednesday is part of the 23,000 documents under review from Epstein’s estate.

Garcia wrote: “The more Donald Trump tries to cover up the Epstein files, the more we uncover. These recent emails and communications raise serious questions about what else the White House is hiding—and about the true nature of Trump’s relationship with Epstein.”

“The dog that didn’t bark”

In another email from 2011, Epstein referred to Trump as “the dog that didn’t bark” in a message to his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell—who has also been convicted of sex trafficking—claiming that Trump “spent hours at my house” with one of the alleged victims.

The third leaked email, dated 2019, was another exchange between Epstein and Wolff, in which Epstein wrote: “Of course [Trump] knew about the girls, because he asked Ghislaine to stop.”

In September, Democrats also released over 200 pages from an unpublished book about Epstein written more than two decades ago, which included an explicit sketch and a letter appearing to bear Trump’s signature.

Trump has consistently denied any meaningful connection with Epstein, the authenticity of the book, and his supporters’ demands for full disclosure of Epstein’s files and alleged crimes—both before and after Epstein’s 2019 death in federal custody, widely reported as a suicide.

Nevertheless, Trump’s name has been linked to Epstein for years. Numerous photos show them together at parties at Mar-a-Lago, and in a 2002 interview with New York Magazine, Trump described Epstein as “a terrific guy” who “likes beautiful women, especially those on the younger side.”

Reports suggest, however, that their relationship ended around 2004 following a personal dispute—reportedly after Epstein “stole” an employee from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
