Leaked blueprints reveal $7 billion Australian military deal with Israel

Following a cyberattack by the Cyber Support Front on Israeli defense industries, confidential blueprints and technical details of new infantry vehicles ordered by Australia in a $7 billion contract from an Israeli company have been exposed.

Several Australian media outlets reported that, after the cyberattack on Israel’s military industries, confidential 3D blueprints and technical specifications of the new infantry vehicles (Redback) purchased by the Australian Army from Elbit Systems were leaked.

In addition to exposing sensitive technical details of these vehicles, other documents revealed that the Australian Defense Force was also reviewing the purchase of Spike NLOS anti-tank missiles from the same Israeli company.

Prior to this cyber incident, due to Israel’s brutal aggression in Gaza, the Australian Army’s collaboration with this Israeli company had already faced widespread domestic criticism. However, the country’s Defense Minister repeatedly defended the partnership, stating: "We will never apologize for acquiring the best possible equipment for the Australian Defense Force."

The news broke shortly after Israeli authorities claimed that no critical classified information was exposed in the cyberattack, and the breached company was only a subcontractor producing prototypes for marketing and exhibitions.
