Deadly police shooting of a civilian in Utah, USA
According to Fox News, the incident occurred on October 29. Hernández died several hours later in the hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
The video shows that Hernández was shot by officers after throwing a rock in their direction.
The officer who fired the fatal shot has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an official investigation.
Utah police confirmed that an internal investigation into the incident is currently underway.
According to data from Mapping Police Violence, U.S. police have killed 1,103 people since the beginning of this year.
Statistics also show that in only four days this year, U.S. police did not kill anyone.
