The West’s attempt to divide Syria

In an interview with Mizan News Agency, Al-Shaer stated: “Although some Western media outlets are trying to promote the idea that Russia is only focused on specific strategic points in Syria and indifferent to the rest of the country, this assumption is completely false.

The drive for partition and turning Syria into a hub of permanent conflict is a core strategy of Israel and the West — one that Russia firmly opposes. This position has been reaffirmed in recent meetings between Russian and Syrian officials.”

He added: “Efforts to fragment Syria and keep it in a state of chaos threaten all our partners and allies in the region — particularly Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon — as well as Russia itself.”
