Yemen dismantles joint U.S.-Israel-Saudi spy network
According to the ministry, the network was affiliated with a joint operations cell involving the intelligence services of the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia. The network’s headquarters was located on Saudi soil.
The Interior Ministry said that through surveillance, reconnaissance and follow-up operations, it was able to thwart the enemies’ plans, expose the methods used by the traitorous agents and disrupt their communications.
Yemen described the operation as follows:
First: The joint operations cell began operating from Saudi territory to coordinate sabotage and espionage efforts against Yemen, creating multiple small, separate cells that operated independently while remaining linked to the joint enemy command.
Second: The enemy’s joint intelligence cell supplied advanced espionage equipment and tools to the network’s cores so they could carry out spying and monitoring, report coordinates and related information. Terrorist elements were trained in how to operate the devices, how to write reports, how to provide coordinates and how to conceal themselves to avoid capture by Yemen’s security forces. American, Israeli and Saudi officers were said to be responsible for training these individuals.
Third: The spy cells monitored Yemen’s infrastructure and sought to identify military and security structures, military production facilities, and launch sites for ballistic missiles and drones. They therefore collected information on civilian leaders, army commanders and security institutions and their locations.
Yemen’s security agencies say the network’s cells were involved in several operations that resulted in the spilling of Yemeni blood. These cells provided information about service centers to the enemies.
