Israel obstructing search for bodies of its own soldiers in Gaza
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has accused the Israeli regime of deliberately obstructing efforts to recover the bodies of Israeli captives in Gaza and preventing Red Cross teams from entering the enclave to assist in the process.
In an official statement, Hamas said that Israel has been blocking both Palestinian resistance members and Red Cross delegations from accessing certain areas in the Gaza Strip where the recovery of Israeli bodies could take place.
The statement rejected Israeli claims that Hamas was intentionally delaying the handover of the bodies, describing such allegations as false and misleading, aimed at deceiving public opinion and shifting blame away from Israel’s own actions.
Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced in a separate statement that the body of an Israeli captive recently discovered inside one of Hamas’ tunnels will be handed over at 8 p.m. local time on Tuesday.
