We cannot turn a blind eye to Israeli violations of the ceasefire

In an interview with Mizan, Fadlallah said:

“The goal behind the Zionist regime’s aggressive and shameless actions against Lebanon is clear. Israel’s attacks on the south aim to drive residents from their land. The Lebanese government cannot ignore these assaults or turn a blind eye to them — this situation is intolerable and cannot be accepted. Another goal of Israel’s repeated strikes on southern Lebanon is to establish a buffer zone and extend its control south of the Litani River. The resistance adheres to the ceasefire formula, which clearly states that the Lebanese state is responsible for protecting the south and its people.”

The Lebanese lawmaker added:

“Nevertheless, the enemy continues its attacks, while the Lebanese government has failed to fulfill its obligations in this regard. We are part of this government, and we continue to call on it to assume its responsibilities.”
