According to French media, opposition parties in the country have submitted another motion of no confidence against the newly introduced government led by Sébastien Lecornu to the French Parliament on Monday.

The parliamentary faction of the far-right party National Rally wrote in a post on the social media platform X: “Marine Le Pen, leader of the National Rally, and Éric Ciotti, leader of the newly formed party ‘Union of the Right for the Republic’ (UDR), have jointly submitted a motion of no confidence [against the new cabinet members].”

Shortly before this announcement, the leftist party La France Insoumise also filed a draft resolution for a no-confidence vote against France’s new cabinet, just hours after Sébastien Lecornu was officially introduced as Prime Minister.

French President Emmanuel Macron had reappointed Lecornu as Prime Minister on Friday, following his resignation from the same position the previous Monday.
