Simultaneously with the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by hundreds of settlers and Israel’s “Minister of Internal Security” under heavy police protection, Israeli occupation forces carried out widespread attacks and arrests in various cities across the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.

Today (Wednesday), Israeli settlers intensified their provocative actions at Al-Aqsa Mosque, with hundreds entering the compound and, under heavy security from the occupiers, performing their Talmudic rituals in the mosque courtyards. These events coincided with the second day of the Jewish festival of Sukkot.

Additionally, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s Minister of Internal Security, entered Al-Aqsa Mosque this morning under the protection of police forces. His office stated that he entered the mosque to pray for victory over Hamas in the Gaza war and the destruction of the movement.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale operation of raids and arrests in cities across the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, which included assaults on civilians and home invasions.

Since early morning, the occupation police have been extensively deployed in the Bab al-Asbat area of occupied Jerusalem. In Hebron governorate, occupation forces raided the Al-Arroub refugee camp north of the city, arresting dozens of civilians after beating them, binding their hands, blindfolding them, and conducting field interrogations before releasing them. During this operation, the occupiers fired live bullets toward worshippers leaving the morning prayer, though no injuries were reported.

Also in Hebron, a 24-year-old man was injured near the separation wall by live fire from occupation forces and was taken to the hospital. In Ramallah, early this morning, occupiers raided a family home in a village west of the city and arrested one young man; four others were arrested in northeast Jerusalem, and a recently released prisoner was detained south of Bethlehem. In Tulkarm, two young men were arrested during raids on different neighborhoods of the city.
