Mossad spy arrested in Istanbul
It was reported that the individual, identified as Serkan Çiçek, had been tracking a Palestinian opposed to Israel’s Middle East policies in exchange for $4,000.
According to the news outlet Haberler, the joint intelligence operation by Turkish intelligence and the Istanbul Security Directorate revealed that Serkan Çiçek had been in contact with Faisal Rashid, a member of the Zionist regime’s online operations center. Çiçek confessed to carrying out espionage activities against a Palestinian activist critical of Israel’s Middle East policies.
The investigation further revealed that Serkan Çiçek’s real name is Mehmet Fatih Kılıç. After accumulating significant business debts, he changed his name, abandoned his trade, and in 2020 founded the Pandora Detective Agency, beginning work as a private investigator. During this period, he came into contact with Musa Koç, who had previously been arrested for spying for Israel.
As a private investigator, Serkan Çiçek attracted Mossad’s attention. Earlier this year, Faisal Rashid, a Mossad operative, contacted him via WhatsApp, introducing himself as an employee of a law office abroad. Eventually, Rashid requested the Turkish citizen to carry out a four-day surveillance operation on a Palestinian activist living in Başakşehir who opposed Israel’s Middle East policies.
Çiçek was paid $4,000 in cryptocurrency for the operation. When he searched the target’s name online, he realized the individual was a Palestinian activist.
