Research and development are the key to the success of Iran’s wood and paper industry

In an interview with Mizan, Dr. Ghasem Mohammadi stated: “Research and development is a principle that serves as the foundation for stability and progress in many industries, and the wood and paper industry is no exception. Without R&D, it is impossible to define realistic and achievable visions and goals in these fields. We have repeatedly emphasized that the adoption of new technologies in production processes — from planting and harvesting to processing and recycling — can increase efficiency and improve product quality. Identifying new markets, improving product quality to compete in global markets, and strengthening export infrastructure can all contribute to the growth and prosperity of this industry. What connects all these areas together is research and development.”

Dr. Mohammadi added: “Investing in R&D for product innovation in the wood and paper industry is the key to the sector’s success in the long term — and even in the medium term.”
