In recent months, Israeli soldiers have faced criminal complaints in various countries, and in the latest case, an occupying soldier is facing legal action in Greece.

The Hind Rajab Foundation announced in a statement that it has filed a complaint with the Athens Public Prosecutor against an Israeli soldier, a member of the Givati Brigade and the 432nd Infantry Unit of the Israeli army.

A Greek lawyer submitted the complaint to the prosecutor’s office, citing a 70-page report documenting the soldier’s presence in Gaza from August 2024 to August 2025.

The Hind Rajab Foundation stated that the evidence against the soldier includes photos and social media posts showing his involvement in the destruction of civilian areas in Rafah and the Jabalia refugee camp, as well as the burning of the Hamad bin Khalifa school. The evidence also includes posts in which the destruction of civilian areas is glorified.

The foundation added that the soldier is currently participating in a resilience program in the Magnesia region of Greece, organized by the Israeli group “Rising Heroes.”

The Hind Rajab Foundation criticized the program, describing it as an attempt by Israeli soldiers to evade accountability, and emphasized that the program protects suspects from legal and judicial scrutiny.

The chairman of the foundation stated: “There can be no safe haven in Europe for those involved in the destruction of civilian populations.”

The complaint calls on Greek authorities to investigate the soldier under the principles of universal jurisdiction under Greek criminal law, the Geneva Conventions, and the Rome Statute.
