Abandoned in the rubble: The silent suffering of Gaza’s disabled
Palestinians with disabilities are among the most invisible victims of “Israel’s” relentless war on Gaza. For them, survival is not just difficult—it is nearly impossible.
Hospitals and clinics they once relied on have been reduced to rubble by indiscriminate airstrikes. Lifesaving aid and medicine remain trapped outside Gaza’s sealed borders. And when forced displacement orders come, how can a person in a wheelchair, or a child who cannot walk, flee under fire?
These men, women, and children are left behind in the darkest corners of war—unseen, unheard, abandoned. Their suffering is a silent testimony to the cruelty of collective punishment. Humanity must not look away.
