The head of Iran’s judiciary stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is committed to logic and dialogue. “We maintain this approach even toward our adversaries,” he said. “Our position is clear: we will not compromise on our fundamental rights, which are also recognized under international law.”

According to the Judiciary Media Center, Seyed Ammar Hakim, head of Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement, visited Tehran and met with Mohseni-Ejei, head of Iran’s judiciary, this morning.

During the meeting, Mohseni Ejei welcomed Hakim and highlighted the strong ties between Tehran and Baghdad. He said recent events in the region demonstrate that enemies oppose a strong and advanced Islam and cannot tolerate the empowerment of Muslims.

Referring to Iran’s clear and assertive stance on war and peace, the judiciary chief emphasized: “Islamic Iran has never been and will never be the aggressor in war. Yet it will never submit to the hegemonic system; it rejects both imposed war and imposed peace. This is a clear principle repeatedly explained by our revolution’s leaders.”

Mohseni Ejei noted that enemies had wrongly assumed that the 12-day war would cripple the Islamic Republic. Instead, Iran’s strength during the conflict made it appear stronger and more respected in the eyes of the world.

He highlighted Iran’s military power during the 12-day war, stating that even the Israeli regime had never faced such heavy military blows since its establishment. “Iran’s victory in this war benefits the entire authentic Islamic world, not just us,” he added.

The judiciary chief described Iran’s logic as dialogue rooted in strength, rejecting bullying and coercion. “Islamic Iran engages in reasoned discussion,” he said. “We apply this approach even with our enemies. Our position is clear: we will not yield on our fundamental rights, recognized by international law. We are willing to engage in dialogue—but if the other party seeks to impose its will and dictate terms, that will never be accepted by Iran.”

He continued: “We will not accept the adversary’s coercion. But in line with our Islamic principles, we have no objection to listening to the other party, even if it is an enemy—provided their position is not dictatorial or driven by imperialist goals.”

Mohseni Ejei also emphasized the sacred unity within Iran: “Today, the Iranian people are more united than ever. The efforts of officials aim to strengthen this cohesion. During the recent 12-day war, even critics and convicted individuals inside the country openly condemned the aggression of Israel and the U.S. and supported our military and defense forces.”

He added: “Obedience to the Supreme Leader permeates our society, and today’s unity revolves around the leadership of the Supreme Leader. State officials also follow the guidance of the Revolution’s leadership.”

Referring to vigilance against enemy plots, he said: “We remain alert to the movements and conspiracies of our adversaries.”

Mohseni Ejei also highlighted Iran’s neighbor-oriented policy: “Strengthening relations with our neighbors is a key priority for the Islamic Republic. Iraq, given our many shared ties, holds a special position. We do not conflict with any neighbor—even those aligned with our enemies—unless they actively create problems for us on behalf of the adversary.”

He stated that Iran seeks honor, prosperity, and success for all Islamic countries and neighbors and will continue to support oppressed peoples and the resistance movements in line with legal principles.

He emphasized that Iran-Iraq relations—economic and non-economic—have much greater potential than currently realized. The Islamic Republic fully supports expanding cooperation and exchanges with Iraq.

Regarding sanctions, Mohseni Ejei said: “Enemy sanctions have indeed caused losses, but they have also spurred progress, openings, and innovation. While challenges exist, our country continues to advance and will never submit to the U.S. or Israel under any circumstances.”

He also mentioned that Iran’s judiciary is ready to expand bilateral and international cooperation with Iraq in legal, judicial, and criminal matters.

During the meeting, Mohseni Ejei, referencing Unity Week, called on all Muslims to seek the Prophet’s guidance so that the Muslim world may stand united against global arrogance.

Seyed Ammar Hakim noted the solidarity of Shiite and Sunni Muslims with Iran during the recent 12-day defense. He also described Iran-Iraq relations as extending beyond the ties of two neighboring countries, citing historical, cultural, and geographical commonalities, and stated that trade exchanges have far greater potential than currently realized. Hakim additionally discussed Iraq’s current political and social landscape.
