Europeans have fallen victim to their major strategic miscalculation

Hanif Ghaffari, PhD told Mizan: “About two months ago, when Trump’s economic extortion of NATO’s European members had reached its peak, the leaders of certain countries such as Germany, France, Italy, and the Netherlands decided that, by agreeing to allocate 5% of their gross domestic product to NATO’s joint defense expenses and meeting the U.S. president’s immediate demands, they could compel him to commit structurally and functionally to transatlantic relations. Ultimately, at the recent Hague summit, NATO’s European members accepted all of Trump’s demands (extortions) and agreed to dedicate 5% of their GDP to NATO’s joint defense costs.”

The international affairs analyst added: Now, less than two months after the Hague summit, European leaders are heading to Washington one after another merely to learn about the behind-the-scenes concessions Trump granted to Putin during the Alaska meeting! In other words, after such massive economic and security payoffs to the U.S., Europeans are now forced to beg the White House just to gain access to information about a single closed-door meeting.”
