Thwarting a large portion of Israeli attacks on Yemen

A Yemeni Ansarallah official stated that a large portion of Israeli aggression against Yemen on Sunday evening was thwarted with the help of domestically-produced air defense systems.

Nasr al-Din Amer, Deputy Head of the Ansarallah Media Committee, announced: “With God’s help, Yemen’s air defenses managed to thwart much of the Israeli aggression, confront several combat formations, and force them to retreat.”

He explained that Yemeni forces used domestically-made air defense systems in this regard, adding: “Our military operations in support of Gaza, with God’s help, will only stop when Israeli aggression ends and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.”

Nasr al-Din Amer stressed that targeting a civilian fuel facility on a main street will not impact Yemen’s military operations, but rather reveals the brutality and failure of the Israeli enemy and will bring more escalation for this regime.

He emphasized: “The Yemeni people will not abandon their faith-based and humanitarian stance in supporting Gaza.”

On Sunday, the Israeli regime carried out airstrikes on Sanaa. A Yemeni source told RIA Novosti that three Israeli air raids targeted a power plant in southern Sanaa.

An Al Jazeera correspondent reported heavy explosions in the city following Israeli attacks.

Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Sanaa added that the strikes targeted a fuel derivatives warehouse in the southwest of the capital, with rising plumes of smoke visible.

Media outlets affiliated with Yemen’s Ansarallah movement also confirmed that Israel and the United States jointly carried out strikes on Sanaa.

Eyewitnesses told Reuters that Israeli bombardments targeted an area near the presidential compound and missile bases in Sanaa.

While Israeli television claimed that the strikes targeted the presidential palace in Sanaa in an attempt to assassinate Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, Secretary General of the Ansarallah movement, as well as missile infrastructure in Hodeidah and Sanaa, Yemeni media reported that civilian infrastructure — including the central Haziz power station in Sanaa — was struck.

Yemen’s Al-Masirah TV also reported that an oil company warehouse on 60th Street in Sanaa was hit during the attacks.

Hazem al-Asad, a member of Ansarallah’s political bureau, reacted by saying: “The attack on the Yemeni people has failed and ended in defeat. Its only result for the enemy will be despair and failure. What matters to us is stopping the war and lifting the blockade on Gaza.”

The Ansarallah Political Bureau also described the Israeli strikes on Sanaa as desperate, stressing that — as always — the enemy targeted civilian infrastructure unrelated to the military sector, relying on harming civilians just as it does in Gaza.
