Araghchi: Armenia gave assurances on understanding Iran’s red lines

Araghchi noted that the meeting was serious in nature, and both sides agreed on drafting a comprehensive cooperation document.

He emphasized that the negotiations were substantial, covering extensive discussions on bilateral economic cooperation—including trade, investment, and implementation of technical and engineering projects—as well as cultural cooperation, given the deep cultural ties between the two nations.

Referring to the talks on transit routes and the recent discussions held in Washington, Araghchi stated that the Armenian side offered detailed explanations, assuring Iran that they are mindful of its red lines and will always respect them, stressing that Armenia would never allow its territory to be used as a platform for threats against Iran.

He added that both sides agreed to finalize a comprehensive strategic cooperation document in the near future.
