A Zionist official disclosed that the recent phone call between the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime and the German Chancellor was tense and controversial.

An Israeli official told Channel 13 of the Zionist regime’s television that the phone conversation between Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the regime, and Friedrich Merz, the German Chancellor, was tense and controversial.

On Friday, Friedrich Merz announced that Berlin would halt military equipment exports to the occupied territories that could be used in the Gaza war, in response to the Zionist regime’s plan to occupy Gaza City.

Following this, Benjamin Netanyahu called Merz to express his “disappointment,” while a senior Israeli official described the call as “tense.”

Netanyahu claimed: “Instead of supporting Israel’s war against Hamas—which carried out one of the most brutal attacks against Jews since the Holocaust—Germany rewards ‘terrorism’ by imposing an arms embargo on Israel.”

During the call, he claimed that the regime’s goal is not to control Gaza, but to liberate it from Hamas and establish a “peace government” in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, Merz had said: “It is increasingly difficult to understand how the Israeli military’s plan can help achieve legitimate objectives.”
