Denial of any clashes during transfer to Evin Prison / Transfer of inmates to Evin carried out in accordance with legal procedures

With the emphasis of the Head of the Judiciary and the round-the-clock, dedicated efforts of the Prisons Organization, the Protection and Intelligence Center of the Judiciary, the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office, and the oversight of the High Council for Human Rights, within less than a month and a half, the rubble of Evin after the attack by the Zionist regime on the prisoners was cleared, and new accommodations for the inmates were prepared.

Accordingly, on the morning of August 8th, the process of returning inmates to Evin Correctional Facility began, and some of the inmates have returned.

Following this return, Mossad media and some affiliated human rights outlets attempted to make allegations about the method of transferring prisoners to Evin Detention Center, seemingly aiming to launch another propaganda and psychological campaign against Evin Prison.

In this regard, the Public Relations Office of the Tehran Province Prisons Administration issued a statement rejecting these allegations and emphasized: The transfer of inmates to the prison was conducted according to security protocols (including handcuffing prisoners during transfer) and in full compliance with legal standards and respect for the rights of individuals.

According to the report from the Public Relations Office of Tehran Prisons, during the transfer, a small number (five inmates) attempted to act contrary to security and legal protocols by refusing to wear handcuffs like all other prisoners. Since this request was illegal and against protective standards, it was denied. Ultimately, by standing firm on enforcing the law and without any conflict, these individuals agreed to comply with the legal protocols, and the transfer process to Evin Detention Center was completed peacefully.

Currently, the inmates are settled in their wards, and the first phase of transferring prisoners has concluded.
