Sweden urges suspension of EU-Israel trade cooperation

In a post on his personal account on the social platform X (formerly Twitter), Kristersson wrote: “The situation in Gaza is absolutely horrific, and Israel is failing to meet its most basic commitments and agreements regarding emergency aid.”

He continued: “Therefore, Sweden is urging the EU to suspend the trade-related parts of its cooperation agreement with Israel as soon as possible.”

The Swedish Prime Minister stated that economic pressure on Israel must increase, adding: “The Israeli cabinet must allow unhindered humanitarian aid to enter Gaza.”
