Yemen issues new warning to shipping companies over ties with Israel

A Yemeni military source has once again warned international shipping companies against any form of cooperation with the Israeli regime, stressing that the Yemeni Armed Forces will continue enforcing the ban on maritime traffic to Israeli ports, especially Tel Aviv.

According to a report by Al-Masirah News Network, the source declared that any ship, regardless of its nationality or the identity of its owner or operating company, will be prohibited from transit if it is found to be engaged in dealings with the Israeli regime.

The source urged all vessels to keep their communication transponders active, emphasizing that Yemeni naval forces are prepared to receive any contact or distress signal from ships in the area.

The Yemeni military official further called on all shipowners, maritime companies, and the broader international maritime community to completely avoid any business or interaction with Israel, regardless of any proposals or incentives offered — to ensure the safety of ships and their crews.

The official underlined that maritime navigation remains safe for all, except for the following:

- Ships belonging to Israel,

- Ships heading to ports in the occupied Palestinian territories,

- Or vessels owned or operated by companies that violate Yemen’s declared maritime ban.

This maritime restriction, the source noted, will remain in effect until the Israeli aggression and siege on Gaza come to an end.

The Yemeni official concluded by stating that any shipping company violating Yemen's decision will bear full responsibility for the safety of its vessels, crew members, and the surrounding maritime environment.
