George Abdallah returns to Lebanon after 41 years in French prison
According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, a number of Lebanese MPs were present at Rafic Hariri International Airport to welcome Abdallah upon his return.
The correspondent added that Abdallah’s return marks the end of 41 years of incarceration in France.
Speaking at the airport, George Abdallah declared: “We must continue confronting the enemy until freedom is achieved. Israel is living through its final chapters.”
In his first public remarks after returning to Lebanon, Abdallah condemned the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people: “Millions of Arabs are witnessing Palestinian children dying of hunger — this is a disgrace to history.”
He emphasized that resistance in this land is deeply rooted and cannot be uprooted: “Resistance is not weak. It is strong with its martyred leaders. Today, more than ever, we must support the resistance.”
Abdallah concluded by saying: “A fighter in captivity endures only as long as his comrades stand firm on the frontlines.”
