Improvised bombs pose the greatest threat to Israeli soldiers in Gaza
Citing a military commander, the report acknowledged the growing capabilities of Hamas fighters and noted that the Israeli army has recently observed an increase in their boldness.
The report states that since the resumption of hostilities in March, Hamas’s improvised bombs have killed 27 out of 38 Israeli soldiers in Gaza.
The Israeli military commander said more than 70% of the wounded soldiers in recent months were injured by Hamas’s improvised bombs.
The report reiterates that these improvised bombs are the greatest danger threatening Israeli forces in Gaza.
Recent ambushes and operations by Palestinian resistance fighters in areas such as eastern Gaza, Jabalia, Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, and Khan Yunis in the south show careful planning and field monitoring of Israeli army movements throughout Gaza by the Palestinian resistance.
These operations demonstrate that Palestinian groups in Gaza are adopting new tactics that enable them to continue confronting the enemy and inflict maximum casualties on enemy forces, even 21 months after the war began.
In one of the deadliest operations carried out by Palestinian fighters in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, the Israeli army yesterday admitted the death of 5 officers and the injury of 18 others.
