Israel continues demolishing homes in south Lebanon
The Lebanese Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Al-Haj Hassan, has condemned the repeated attacks by the Israeli occupation army, including the uprooting of orchards and the destruction of property in southern Lebanon.
“The Israeli occupation continues its deeply condemned assaults on Lebanese territories, the latest being the uprooting of citrus orchards in the town of Naqoura, near the UNIFIL headquarters,” the minister stated.
He added: “This assault constitutes a violation of our sovereignty, threatens our food security, and puts the nation’s resources, sovereignty and farmers’ livelihoods at great risk.”
The minister called on “the international community and UNIFIL to assume their responsibilities to stop these violations and protect our farmers.”
Israel has violated the ceasefire that came into effect on 27 November 287, resulting in 31 deaths and 37 injuries, according to official reports.
