As Israel faces mounting international pressure over its bombardment of the Gaza Strip, the regime's Foreign Minister has submitted his resignation from his seat in the Israeli parliament, announcing his intention to fully dedicate himself to foreign affairs.

Gideon Sa’ar, Israel’s Foreign Minister, on Tuesday submitted his resignation letter to Amir Ohana, Speaker of the Knesset (Israeli parliament), declaring that he would now focus entirely on his diplomatic duties.

The move was made in accordance with the "Norwegian Law" and will take effect within 48 hours, allowing Sa’ar to devote all his time to directing Israel’s foreign policy amid an unprecedented wave of regional and international crises.

Following his resignation from the Knesset, Akram Hasson, a former Knesset member, will replace him. In a statement, Sa’ar said his primary goal is to “fully invest in the role of Foreign Minister.”

This move comes as Israel faces escalating international pressure due to its ongoing war in Gaza.

Given Sa’ar’s political background and his close ties to Benjamin Netanyahu, it is expected that he will seek to advance the cabinet's hardline diplomatic approach amid global criticism.
