Israeli surveillance and spy devices discovered in Gaza
A senior security official within the Hamas movement revealed that several Israeli listening, surveillance, and imaging devices had been discovered and seized in different areas of the Gaza Strip.
He added that these espionage tools were installed using advanced technologies, drones, and with the assistance of local collaborators.
In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera, the official explained that the resistance’s security apparatus succeeded in uncovering and neutralizing the devices.
He noted that one of the discovered devices was camouflaged among the rubble of destroyed buildings in a highly sensitive area. Utilizing motion-sensor technology for both day and night, the device was designed to avoid continuous video capture in order to preserve battery life, and would transmit images and videos to the intelligence services of the occupying regime.
The official also pointed out that one of the cameras had recorded the moment a Palestinian girl was martyred while trying to cross from the southern Gaza Strip to the north — a scene that clearly illustrates the regime’s use of technology for military and intelligence purposes.
Furthermore, another tracking device was found near the site of a prisoner exchange handover during the second phase of the prisoner swap. This device, using a SIM card-based communication system, revealed the regime’s attempt to precisely track the movements and positions of resistance fighters during the most sensitive security moments.
