Alon Chen, President of the Weizmann Institute of Science (the Zionist regime’s security brain and military backer) in southern Tel Aviv, admitted that Iranian missiles had precisely struck the beating heart of Israel’s research center.

In an interview with Channel 13 of the Zionist regime, the president of the Weizmann Institute spoke about the extent of damage and destruction inflicted on the institute by Iranian missiles, which were launched in response to the Zionist regime’s brazen aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He said: “The destruction is extensive, and our initial assessments indicate damages ranging between $300 million to $500 million.”

He noted that the institute was comprised of two main parts — residential and scientific — with the scientific section being significantly larger.

“Iran’s attack targeted the scientific part, which means they struck the heart of the institute, and the strikes were extremely precise.”

In response to a question about why the military censorship office has long prevented the public release of images showing the extent of the destruction, this Zionist official replied: “As far as we know, the military censor has prohibited photography because they don’t want the enemy to obtain information that could help in future strikes on these locations.”

The Zionist regime’s media, in its report, added: “It must be acknowledged that the Iranians have monitored the missile strike locations in Israel — not just in Weizmann, but in many military bases and strategic sites which we haven’t disclosed publicly so far.”

Channel 13 further reported: “Moreover, the situation is such that the public remains unaware of the precision and extent of Iranian attacks and the damage at many locations.”

Previously, Israeli media outlets had also revealed the massive damage caused by Iran’s missile strike on the Weizmann Institute — a reflection of the fragility of Israel’s military and research infrastructure in the face of targeted Iranian attacks.

In this context, the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth admitted that an Iranian missile that struck the Weizmann Institute in Rehovot caused extensive damage.

Weizmann is considered one of Israel’s most important scientific institutions and plays a direct role in the Zionist regime’s military programs.

The newspaper wrote: “Research projects that were on the verge of clinical trials were damaged. Valuable samples collected from across the world were destroyed. Precision equipment specially ordered became unusable. Some of the damages are irreparable, while others are repairable — but the lost time and delays in research have had a profound impact.”

The American news network CNN, quoting staff from the Israeli Weizmann Institute, also reported: “Some laboratories were completely destroyed as a result of the Iranian missile strike.”

Haaretz newspaper quoted a professor at the Weizmann Institute of Nuclear Research saying: “The laboratory was completely demolished, and the Iranian missile caused three floors of the building to collapse.”

The Weizmann Institute of Science is Israel’s most prominent scientific center and has extensive collaboration with the Zionist military and intelligence agencies. It is known for engaging in cyber operations, including hacking and theft, in pursuit of its objectives.

The institute works closely with Israel’s major weapons manufacturers, and its scientists play critical roles in projects with military applications.

Nearby, the Kiryat Weizmann Science Park hosts major Zionist arms companies such as Rafael, IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries), and Elbit Systems.
