Asghar Jahangir, during a two-hour visit to various sections of Evin Prison, was briefed on the condition of the prison following the brutal assault by the Zionist regime. He reviewed the situation of the inmates and the damaged areas.
During the visit, the judiciary spokesperson expressed appreciation for the efforts of law enforcement, firefighters, emergency medical services, and prison staff in swiftly clearing the rubble in the damaged areas and issued necessary directives.
The Deputy Head of the Judiciary, while inquiring about the treatment process of those injured in the attack, paid tribute to the martyrs of this aggression, emphasizing that those killed included both judicial and administrative personnel.
Jahangir also announced a special directive from the Head of the Judiciary to attend to the condition of the wounded and injured in the incident, adding that the Judiciary will provide full support measures for the families of affected staff.
Referring again to the Zionist regime's inhumane actions, he reiterated: “The attack on places such as prisons and hospitals highlights the regime’s profound incapacity and its goal of instilling fear. However, we witnessed how our security and law enforcement forces stood firmly and decisively responded to such barbarism.”
Jahangir also highlighted the role of the people in ensuring psychological and social security, stating: “In recent days, the people of Iran have demonstrated how, in critical moments, they thwart sinister plots through strengthened national and social solidarity.”
In his visit to Evin’s administrative and judicial sectors, Jahangir evaluated the management processes closely and affirmed: “In a very short time, the prison’s security conditions have returned to normal, and all inmates are now in stable and appropriate conditions.”
