Araghchi: Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people

In a post on the social platform X, Araghchi wrote:

“The United States, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) by attacking Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities.”

He described the events of this morning as “shocking and disgraceful,” warning that they will have lasting consequences.

“Every UN member state should be seriously alarmed by such a dangerous, unlawful, and criminal act,” he added.

Referring to the UN Charter and its provisions that allow for a legitimate response in self-defense, Araghchi stressed:

“Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and its people.”
