Araghchi to NBC: Iran will never stop enrichment

In an interview with NBC News, Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said: Iran will never stop enrichment.

He said: We no longer know how we can trust the Americans. Iran will never agree to a complete halt to uranium enrichment and Israel must stop its aggression before any negotiations with the United States.

In response to the NBC host's question about whether diplomacy can find a solution to the Iranian nuclear issue in 2 weeks, the Iranian Foreign Minister said: It depends on the Americans to show their determination for a negotiated solution or whether they have other things in mind and want to attack Iran.

Araghchi added: They may have this plan and they may need negotiations to cover it up.

The top nuclear negotiator also stressed: "We don't know how we can trust it. What they did was actually a betrayal of diplomacy."
