Deadly school shooting in Graz, Austria leaves multiple casualties

Reports indicate at least five to nine people were killed, with several others injured, including students and teachers. The Austrian Interior Ministry confirmed multiple fatalities, and local media, such as Kronen Zeitung, reported up to eight deaths, though official numbers remain unconfirmed. Seriously injured individuals are being treated at nearby facilities, including the Helmut List Hall.

The suspected perpetrator is believed to be a student at the school who died by suicide, possibly in a school toilet. Police have not officially confirmed the suspect’s identity or motive.

This incident comes nearly a decade after a 2015 terror attack in Graz, where a vehicle attack killed three people.
