The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, citing the crimes of the Israeli regime and the lack of medicine and fuel in Gaza Strip hospitals, warned that the besieged region is nearing mass death.

In a statement on Sunday, the Gaza Ministry of Health declared: “We are approaching mass death in the Gaza Strip and are witnessing genocidal crimes and ethnic cleansing.”

The ministry further emphasized: “Ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip is a military objective pursued by the occupying regime to establish settlements.”

According to Al Jazeera, the Gaza Health Ministry reported that hospitals in the Gaza Strip lack medicine and electricity, with insufficient fuel reserves. The ministry stressed: “The occupying regime is systematically and deliberately destroying Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure, using this to force displacement of Palestinians.”

On Saturday, the ministry reported that Israeli forces continue to block international organizations and UN-affiliated entities from accessing fuel depots designated for hospitals, risking a complete halt in their operations. The Israeli regime claims hospital fuel tanks are located in “red zones.”

According to the ministry, of the 38 hospitals in the Gaza Strip, 19 are partially operational—eight public and 11 privates. Additionally, nine field hospitals provide emergency services to the wounded.

The director of the Gaza Health Ministry told Al Jazeera: “In 48 hours, Gaza’s hospitals will turn into graveyards due to fuel shortages. The occupying forces’ prevention of fuel imports is tantamount to cutting off the lifeline of hospitals.”
