Electronic security achieved with a national perspective
In an interview with Mizan, Mohammad Ghalamchi, PhD stated: "Electronic security is a vast and ever-expanding field. Even cybersecurity is considered one of its branches and manifestations. The initial definition of electronic security involves ensuring security through the physical protection of places, objects, and more, using electronic equipment such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, access control systems, fire detection and suppression systems, and any other system controlled by an electronic circuit with protective, monitoring, or security functions. Recently, concepts such as cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), and smart technologies have also been incorporated into the realm of electronic security."
This cyber expert added: "Localization and the development of electronic security knowledge within the country, along with leveraging national capacities, is a necessity. We are talking about an imperative. One of the vulnerabilities in this regard is the lack of attention to localization, which results in outcomes that do not align with actual needs. In this process, the expertise of knowledgeable individuals and the capabilities of knowledge-based companies must be utilized to the fullest extent possible."
